Valentine's Day

This year Valentine's Day came on a Wednesday. Since Buzz and I were home, we decided to go to our favorite restaurant, a hibachi grill. A hibachi grill is a Japanese grill and their food is excellent. If you have never been, you should go just for the experience.

Once you have been seated and have ordered your food, a chef will appear in front of you (you and several other people sit around a large grill). The chef will cook the food in front of you.

As a note of advice, always go hungry! First comes miso soup; then a salad with ginger dressing; then rice (I love the fried rice); then noodles; then grilled vegetables, then shrimp, and lastly whatever meat you ordered. There is so much food that I am never able to eat it all (Buzz is always ready to finish what I can't).

This year Valentine's day was great...just as good as last year, when Buzz proposed!

Superbowl Party

Both Buzz and I were recovering from colds Sunday night. We decided to stay in and have our own little party. He went to the store and bought some snack foods; but come to find out, we didn't need any snack foods. Our downstairs neighbor made so much food that she brought some up to us. We had 5 different chips and just as many different dips. We had jalapeno poppers, BBQ chicken wings, and chicken strips (I've probably forgotten something). During half time our neighbor brought us dessert and visited with us both for a while. Dessert was pie with ice cream. And one other thing to mention, Buzz made sure to were his Bengal's jersey. They may not have made it to the Superbowl, but Buzz was still cheering for his team.

Snow

We have actually gotten snow this year! Several weeks ago, we woke up to snow. For days the weather forcast has called for snow, but the snow waited until Friday. Once it started snowing, it didn't stop until late that evening. It just kept coming down. We got to stay inside, watch movies, and watch the snow come down. By the time we went out on Saturday, most of the snow had already melted.
