A Birthday Celebration, and other things...

After the new year began, we all got together at Babe's - a homestyle cooking restaurant - to celebrate HBS's brother's birthday. Babe's is a very popular place, so we arrived before 4:30 pm to make sure we could get a table...and we STILL had to wait in line! The food was delicious - fried chicken, smoked chicken, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn, beans, biscuits, gravy...I think we all put on 15 lbs. just smelling it! The highlight of the event was when Buzz casually mentioned it was a birthday celebration - so the staff helped us celebrate by singing to Bro, and then having him don a chicken outfit and dance up and down the aisle. All in all, it was a good time.
