Next dinner was served. By that time, we were all starving! But dinner was absolutely wonderful and worth the wait. For our meal we were given a large metal plate and the kitchen staff piled on the food. We had pinto beans, beef or chicken, corn bread, baked potatoes, home-made applesauce (which was Buzz's favorite) and spice cake. And for those of us that were especially hungry (that would be Buzz) you can go back for a second helping of all the food! I barely finished my first plate and was glad that I hadn't gotten ice cream earlier.
After dinner we enjoyed a concert by the Wranglers, a Western Music Group. We laughed their humorious commentaries and had the chance to sing along with the group. During our concert, a huge thunderstorm decided to roll in. I walked out on the porch to see a beautiful lightening show...of course, the lightening was followed by rolling thunder and a huge amount of rain.
Once the show ended, we headed back home. From what I could tell, the entire group had a great time!
At the entrance of Flying J.
