Baby-Baby Preparations

Well, we have been EXTREMELY busy the last couple of months, trying to get the house ready for the arrival of Baby-Baby! As we sat and thought about it, we realized...we're tired. We remodeled the bedroom, added furniture in the living room, remodeled the office, and (of course) created a room for Baby-Baby, which included building furniture and creating paintings. This doesn't include all the sewing projects that HBS put together - with only one emergency room visit required! It's been a lot of hard work, but once Baby-Baby arrives, we know it will all be worth it!

Poor Miss Kitty

Miss Kitty has been feeling poor lately - and not because of her stock portfolio! (Wait for laughter...) We took her to the vet, and to run some tests, they needed to sedate our ferocious feline. Needless to say, when she came home, she was still a little zonked, and could only lay down next to her food dish to eat...so like all good PETA-approved pet owners, we filmed it. Enjoy the show, show-enjoyers!

The Garden, Version 2010

Well, after planting seeds early in the year, we finally were able to find some time to plant our garden! No longer will it be used as a bed for neighborhood cats - we have planted tomatoes, squash, basil, and jalapenos. It was a tremendous team effort, but we got it done! Now we just water, weed, and wait for tasty num-nums!

Happy Mother's Day!

This year, Mother's Day had an extra-special meaning - HBS is, of course, a Mommy-To-Be! This time next year, we will be celebrating OFFICIALLY! This year, we spent the day with HBS's mom and family, grilling chicken, watching her brother buff and wax Mom's car, and spending quality time together. Plus, presents! Everyone had a wonderful day.

Baby Crazy

Well, the time is rapidly growing short, as is our list of "baby preparations". We have been working hard trying to get the house ready for his arrival. As usual, when you get one area done, it involves moving a lot of stuff to another area, which then needs to be worked, and so on, and so on... However, we are steadily making progress! Recently, we reorganized our bedroom, putting in shelves, bookshelves, a glider, and a bassinet! The living room was a little messy right after that, but even that has been cleared up. We are almost ready for Baby-Baby!
