Christmas - Home

Time keeps on passing...Baby-Baby is nearing Toddler-Toddler stage, and thus was much more excited about Christmas this time around. And, as is our "tradition", we celebrated Christmas three times - once with HBS's family, once as a single family unit (Mommy, Daddy, Baby-Baby), and once with Buzz's family. One thing to note - Great-Grandpa has done a remarkable job picking out toys that will capture and maintain our easily-distracted child's attention. Here are some scintillating photos from Christmas - home edition. Enjoy!

Check it out! Thomas the Train!!!

Here, Great-Grandpa - let me help you with your present...

Let me take it off your hands...

Mommy is REALLY excited about her Bobby Flay grill!

And Daddy was pretty excited about...um....
We aren't really sure - he just gets really excited sometimes...

Early December Activities

Well, we are now in the thick of things in December - lots of things that have kept us busy. As previously mentioned, Buzz directed the Nativity Pageant at church. It went well, despite being forced inside due to bad weather. Everyone had a good time, and the live animals even made a surprise appearance! Baby-Baby got a toy train from his grandpops - I think they'll have to split time on who gets to play with it... Mommy and he made some Christmas ornaments - lots of hard work and creativity on display! We now have a small army of gingerbreadmen ornaments. And just generally getting ready for Christmas with Mommy's family, and traveling to spend Christmas with Daddy's family...but those are posts for another time.

Our Son, the Acrobat

Words can't describe the pride and fear we felt when we walked in on Baby-Baby doing this...

Of course, we had to get a video of it before making sure he couldn't do it again...

November to Remember

November was an exciting month, mostly because of preparations for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the church Nativity Pageant. This year, instead of performing in the pageant, Buzz directed...and yet, STILL grew a beard. No one knows why. Aside from that, our little boy had lots of fun hanging with Mommy, playing with balloons, looking adorable...typical 17 month old stuff. We had a great Thanksgiving with family, then went downtown the next night for the Parade of Lights. Oh, and did we mention that Mommy finished crocheting her sister's wedding present? Enough of the chit-chat...bring on the photos!

Just a little light reading...WHAT???
Fozzie is really a LEMUR???

Just hanging with my friend, Gracie!

The turkey is ready!

Check out this spread!

What a sweet dish!
And the pies look tasty, too!

October Highlights

October was filled with many wonderful adventures. There was the trip to Dinosaur World, and like every little boy, our son was enthralled...mostly with the dirt along the path, and the playground, but enthralled nonetheless. We also helped Great-Grandpa collect the pears from his pear tree, and celebrated things associated with Halloween. So many wonderful memories, so many wonderful pictures...

Hey, has anyone seen all the dinosaurs?

Oh, here they are!

Mommy, quick! Let me show you the one I want as a pet!

Yep, dinosaurs are cool, but this rope fence
tastes AWESOME!

Every once in a while, you need to take a break from
running around, spend some time bonding with Daddy...

Me and Mommy getting ready for my
future job - Dino Rider!

That looks like an awful lot of pears...

Well, Daddy, let's get started. I'll get the ones right here...

Okay, maybe I'll just help Mommy get these up here...

Looking good, Mommy! I think you've
got the hang of it!

Now I can pick up pears AND practice my spear fishing!

Fun times with Grandpa!

Sharing some of Mommy's pizza

Getting ready for Halloween - gotta get a pumpkin!

Good job, Daddy - not too scary, not too corny...

Trying to get the right photo of a lit Jack-O-Lantern,
but what's going on in the upper left...?

Mommy is soooooo proud!

September Activities

Lots of fun times were had during September. Most were confined to fun times at home with Mommy and Daddy, such as exploring bookshelves and playing in dog cages. There was a day at the Botanical Gardens that was mostly spent chasing the little boy, who was chasing girls...I foresee many difficult discussions with angry fathers in our future...

Now, the photos!

If you haven't experienced the joy of Bookshelf Climbing,
you just don't know what you're missing!!!

Last month, I was a cat - this month, a DOGGIE!!!
Woof, woof!

Just like Grandma, I'm a UC Bearcat fan!
Unlike Grandma, I like to root for them while sitting on the windowsill...

Sharing some tasty treats and quality time with Mommy!

Lots of flowers, but I prefer ponds...

...and waterfalls!

And walking over bridges...and other things...
